Parking in Villages

Kiplingcotes - do not park on the road [private property] leading up to the car park i.e from the Furniture shop to the house. Also the weighbridge isnt public land. There are issues with organised walks blocking access to private property, as well as the fields - there is a gate in the car park, that needs to be kept clear. Please respect the privacy and not take photos of the properties - these are residential and do not attempt to get onto the old platforms as these form part of the residence.
Millington - do not leave cars in the village main street. Park on the top road opposite the church [or Millington Woods car park.
North Newbald - remember, tractors are continually going through the village and need space so don't park on both sides of the road. Use the village car park [courtesy box]
Bishop Wilton Community Centre - contact them before a walk to obtain permission [which will be given] as this enables the centre to know who is leaving vehicles. Use of the facilities will also be afforded and with some pre planning refreshments may be possible.
Thixendale - please ensure that parked cars are not blocking driveways or preventing access for large vehicles, the village is increasingly busy at weekends - if possible, use the 200 Wolds Explorer bus from Pocklington
Huggate - use the car park (honesty payment) on Driffield Road, don't park in the village or around the pub.
Fridaythorpe - park on one side of the road only [furthest from the pond] to allow farm vehicles to pass.
Generally
- Park considerately, avoid damaging road side grass verges and remember agriculture vehicles will need to pass
- If there is an honesty box please make a donation
- When considering using a village hall car park for a walks start - please obtain permission.
Sewerby Hall
Parking is not allowed unless connected with visiting the hall when the parking charge is factored into admission prices.
