East Yorkshire and Derwent Area Ramblers

walking to protect our local countryside

Helen Hurling led this 8 mile walk starting from the Visitor Centre at Fountains Abbey.

After leaving the pleasant parkland, the route went through a variety of scenery  - woodland, summer meadows, riverside and finally the deer park.

The weather was good, and the tea and cakes taken outdoors at the Abbey tearooms rounded off a very enjoyable day.
