East Yorkshire and Derwent Area Ramblers

walking to protect our local countryside

Judith McCreery led 12 walkers on a very pleasant 8 mile walk from North Grimston to Settrington. The only drawback was the extremely blustery weather, which made the walk seem more strenuous than it really was. Tractors and trailers were busy ferrying loads of harvested beans along the track near Settrington Beacon just as the group stopped for lunch. Heavy tractors on a windy day on a dusty track gave that little bit of extra 'flavour' to the sandwiches.
