East Yorkshire and Derwent Area Ramblers

walking to protect our local countryside

Twelve walkers and leader Marilyn Skelton had a fine warm day for this 6 mile circuit around Crayke.

About a third of the route was on permissive paths, part of the Crayke Millennium Walk. The route was developed with the support of local farmers who allow their land to be walked except for one week each year when the route is closed in order to preserve the landowners' rights. Along the way are mosaics showing aspects of village life as it was in the past and as it is now.
