East Yorkshire and Derwent Area Ramblers

walking to protect our local countryside

Weather prospects didn't put off 26 members arriving at Millington for this 11 mile walk led by Jack Hutchinson.

The group set off in summer attire and with dry but overcast conditions. Jack followed the Minster Way to Little Givendale before turning off to Millington Heights.

Two and a half miles covered when the sky blackened, quickly followed by thunder and lightning, torrential rain and hailstones. A rapid donning of wet weather gear and the walk resuming, descending to Millington Dale. Along the road to Frendale Dale where because of weather conditions the route length was reduced to 8 miles.

Joining the Yorkshire Wolds Way the waterlogged walkers returned to Millington
