East Yorkshire and Derwent Area Ramblers

walking to protect our local countryside

This was a pleasant 6 mile walk led by Peter Leese around the Sledmere Estate. The group of 21 enjoyed the sight of primroses and daffodils, along with the interesting features along the way such as the imposing deer shelter, the castle-like estate house, and Sledmere House itself. After the walk 18 of the walkers had a very good lunch at The Triton inn.
